Have you ever held an officials position in HiH? If so, how many terms? Not yet, although I'm a an Order of the Phoenix member, Daily Prophet writer and a shopkeeper.
How much availability do you have in an average week for performing mod duties? I have almost unlimited amount of time to spend on the community at the moment, and I'm online on Livejournal several hours every single day. It would be absolutely no problem for me to keep track of pending shop applications and changes that needed to be made, especially since I spend a lot of my time in Flourish already.
Do you have experience working with HTML/CSS? Yes to both. I've taken several classes in coding and created many websites with HTML & CSS. I understand the concept of both and I'm comfortable with using them.
As a mod of this community, what are you prepared to do to help things run smoothly/stay active? I'm prepared to do anything that needs doing. I have been a very active shopkeeper in Flourish ever since I joined the community, and I have a good understanding of how it works and what needs to be done. Since I participate in the community very actively, I would always be there to deal with any problems that might arise, and I would always be very polite when it comes to dealing with conflicts.

I understand that a lot of people put large portions of their time into upholding their shops, which is why it's important to me that everyone gets a fair chance to distribute their graphics. I'm more than happy to do points counting for the months as well; in fact, this is something that I've been doing on my own free time already as a little hobby.
Are there any changes/improvements you can suggest for the community? I would make sure that new shop applications are dealt with as soon as possible. I have noticed that sometimes it can take more than a week for people to hear back about their applications, and although I can understand that people have real lives and can't be online 24/7, I know from personal experience how excruciating it is to wait for approval or denial of your graphics. I would do my outmost to look over shop applications and get back to people as soon as possible, because it would keep everyone happy and help things move along.

I also want to make sure that everyone follows the rules, especially when it comes to only posting one delivery and one update every week. It's only fair that everyone gets the same chance with their graphics, and I want to make sure that the rules are upheld and that everyone is treated fairly and justly.
</nobr></td></tr><tr><td>Do you have a shop yourself? Yes, I most certainly do.
Do you have any experience creating/manipulating graphics? Creating and manipulating graphics is something I have done now for many years. I started working with graphics programs when I was fourteen, and that was 8 years ago. Graphics are a passion and a personal hobby of mine, and I use them to express my emotions, convey feelings, concepts and ideas to others. Photomanipulation is a great artform and it takes a lot of skill to do it well, thus it is something I definitely love doing and improving on.
Suggest three themes for use as ‘monthly themes’ for the shops:
Harry Potter Quotes - Any tags with quotes from the Harry Potter films or books would get extra points. Images would be allowed as well of course, but the quote would be a must.
Canon Mascots - Going back to classics, it would be great to see appreciation for the wonderful House Mascots of all four Hogwarts Houses in all shapes and sizes, photography or drawings.
Animagus - Show appreciation for your animagus form! Canon animagus forms would be accepted as well as all the forms of the current members of [info]hh_wilderness. Show off the animal within you!
Why are you interested in being the mod for this community? Because Flourish is one of the sub-communites I have always been most active in. I have a popular shop there, I love working with graphics and I love Hogwarts is Home. Flourish seems to be a perfect fit for me. I know that I have great moderator potential since I'm a very organized individual, I love keeping track of things and I'm good at talking to people and handling problems. People like coming to me with their issues, and I'm always more than happy to help them out. If I could encourage people to open more shops and develop their potential as graphics makers, I would be very happy about it.

Position You're Applying For: Flourish Mod
Have you ever held an officials position in HiH? If so, how many terms? Yes, several. Various positions over 7 terms.
How much availability do you have in an average week for performing mod duties? 10-20 hours a week. I'm on all the time (yay no life! :D), so it's likely a lot more than that. XD
Do you have experience working with HTML/CSS? Yes, indeedy!
As a mod of this community, what are you prepared to do to help things run smoothly/stay active? Answer questions in a timely manner, investigate any issues that may arise, offer fun and exciting new themes to encourage shop owners to stay active, superlatives at the end of the term with special banners for the shop owners (and maybe link to their awards on the profile! :D), and generally being available to the members for questions/comments/suggestions/regular beatings...
Are there any changes/improvements you can suggest for the community? A community-wide refresher/update on the rules. We've gotten a bit lax on the requirements for shops and I think either changing the rules to suit where the community is now, or becoming stricter with the shop owners needs to happen. I'm completely open to changing the rules if the shop owners and members want to. I'd like to open discussion about things that need to be changed or really, just things people have a concern about. I'd also like to open up the idea of changing up the point system - something that includes extra points for special events (Hogsmeade and the like) and a rewording of the rest of the points.
Do you have a shop yourself? Yep! Have had for almost my whole three years. :D
Do you have any experience creating/manipulating graphics? A whole bundle. :D
Suggest three themes for use as ‘monthly themes’ for the shops:
•Humor! Tags must contain a joke of some kind - a pun, a riddle, a funny face, something along those lines (and if this mod is too slow to pick up on the joke, an explanation may be required XD).
•Provided Texture! The mods provide a texture and sigs have to incorporate it in a visible way. *evil hand rub*
•Quidditch! Anything and everything to do with Quidditch! The matches have been quite heated this term, and I'd love to keep enthusiasm for them high! Let's support our players! :D

Why are you interested in being the mod for this community?
I love Flourish. ♥ It's been my home at HiH for almost the whole time I've been a member. I feel the most comfortable there and am confident in my ability to be able to answer any questions quickly (or at least know where to find the answer!).

Have you ever held an officials position in HiH? If so, how many terms?yes 3 terms
How much availability do you have in an average week for performing mod duties?25+ hours
Do you have experience working with HTML/CSS?TONS! I have my own shop and I code some websites as well
As a mod of this community, what are you prepared to do to help things run smoothly/stay active? I'm prepared to spend 5 hours or more every day on this community if that's what it takes to make sure it runs smoothly. And yes I said 5 per DAY if that's what it takes.
Are there any changes/improvements you can suggest for the community?I would like to see the inactive shops cleared in a more timely fashion so that more shops can be formed. I know currently there are a few people waiting on shops and can't get them because their house has the max number and several of those are very inactive. I would also like to see some gift tags brought back on a regular basis. I would like to see the number someone could order capped, per month. For instance someone could only order 10 per month instead of per shop like it is at hogsmeade. I think this would give those people who want to send a gift to someone the ability without abusing the system. This of course would have to be closely monitored and I would be prepared to do that. Another idea for gift tags is for them to be worth only 3 points instead of 6. It, along with a cap, would keep the system from being abused. I'd also like to see hogsmeade done differently. I believe that there should be a capped placed on how many tags you can order at hogsmeade as well. It seems that the points count is far too high and higher than at any other time.
Do you have a shop yourself?yes I do
Do you have any experience creating/manipulating graphics?yes I do
Suggest three themes for use as ‘monthly themes’ for the shops:books! Any and all books, musical instruments and candy
Why are you interested in being the mod for this community?I love my shop and I love flourish and I'd like to have a part in helping it run as smoothly as it is now.
